Report: Minister says Turkey joining sanctions unrealistic

ANKARA, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Turkey joining the Western sanctions against Russia is unrealistic, the state’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an interview with NTV television channel on Thursday.

“We are monitoring the UNO’s sanctions. But our association with any sanctions of individual states… is unrealistic as Turkey is a mediator… We have been often asked if we plan to close the sky. Please, understand that Turkey is in a mediator position, which aims at stabilization of the situation,” he said.
